🎃 Ichabod Ruffleton Pumpkinvale (One-of-a-Kind Plushie)

Ichabod Ruffleton Pumpkinvale 🎃
Nickname: Ruffles · Guardian of the Orchard's Edge

At the far edge of the orchard, past the last row of trees, the land goes gray. Nothing grows there. No songs, no color, no stories. The creatures of Astoria call it the Hollow Lands, and they say that anything that wanders too close forgets what made it warm.

For as long as the Astoric Records go back, a Guardian has stood watch at that edge. Every autumn, when the last pumpkins are gathered in, a new Guardian is found sitting among them, someone who wasn't there the day before. This year, it was Ichabod.

He arrived already dressed for duty. His collar and cuffs are lace passed down from the Guardians before him, each one adding a few stitches before handing it on. That's why it can never be replaced, and why there will only ever be one Ichabod.

He doesn't say much. Guardians rarely do. Mostly he watches, with those big glossy eyes that can see through fog and dark, waiting for anything gray that tries to creep in. When the Hollow Lands reach out, he stands firm, and the orchard stays golden.

When a Guardian is adopted, he doesn't stop protecting. He just protects something new. Wherever Ichabod lives, the cold gray feeling can't get in, and his person's home stays warm, bright, and full of stories.

Written in the Astoric Records, once and forever.

About Ichabod:

• Soft sage face with large glossy eyes
• Collar and cuffs made from vintage lace passed down from an estate, meticulously gathered and hand-sewn
• Plaid sleeves and a quilted burgundy body
